Time is flying by so fast!

I can't believe that I am on the count down to our baby's arrival. By ultrasound I am due on Thursday and by dates I am due on the Tuesday, so somewhere in the middle I think. I still have so much to unpack with our house, but the main part is done, so I am trying not to stress about it too much, as I can't really move that fast anyway.
Ok I hate photos at the best of times but seeing this is a diary of sorts I thought I would include one of myself with only a week to go and my friend Ann who is due on the same day lol. I wonder if we will go on the same day!!! As you can see we had our first children together at nearly the same time only two weeks apart, they were just a little keener than myself and David and added an extra one in the middle.

Well we had exciting news on the 3rd of September(just missing Davids birthday, by a day) my sisters little baby girl Mikayla arrived in a record time of 41 minutes(cow) and at 8 pounds and 6 ounces quite a sizable difference to my sisters first baby. She is absolutely gorgeous with a mop of dark hair and just the sweetest little nature. The night we went up to visit at the hospital it was absolutely bucketing down with rain and silly me I forgot our camera(no surprise at the moment as I am forgetting everything). Thankfully I can now report thanks to Alex's birthday that I have some special kodak moments and I also have some gorgeous ones of little William, so only one baby to go now, mind you I am in no hurry believe me lol!!!

A big congratulations to the Anderson family we are over the moon for you all and so glad to have little Mikayla join our ever growing clan!!!

Well Amber has been a little strange lately with all these babies arriving and with the shock at watching my sister breastfeed, she is just gobsmacked lol and can't believe how long it takes. She is a little bit nervous I think with our little bundle arriving soon and is requiring lots of huggles(our special little name for cuddles) and she must be a little nervous as some of her habits have come back in full force like pinching our elbows, which is something she has always done since she was a baby for comfort.
I think she is going to be an amazing big sister and help me out so much once the baby arrives. Amber seems to have grown up so much in someways lately and is full of questions, which thankfully I can answer at the moment.....lets hope she doesn't get to advanced for her poor old mother.

Just a couple of recent photos nearly all taken at night unfortunately, as this seems to be the only spare time I have these days........I have to laugh though as I added one of myself that Amber took as she is obsessed with using our camera at the moment and steals it when ever she can.....anyway she always pulls funny faces when I am taking a photo of her so I thought I would get her back and this was the results.......its a little blurry but I got my revenge lol!!

Just a last quick note, I want to wishto thank my husband so much for everything he has done for me and Amber over the last nine months, he has been my saviour during this pregnancy and I truly could not have survived without his love and support. I was so sick, so thank you honey for all those trips to the chemist and for rushing home to cook dinner and look after Amber while we were building our house. Your an amazing husband and I count my blessings every day that I have you by my side. I love you so much babe I hope you realize this xx.
So the last photos of this post are for you so you know how much we both love you and I hope you had a lovely birthday, even if it was a blur with new babies and all the crazy things that have been happening around here at the moment.
Hugs and kisses Kylie and Amber xx

A day on the farm!

Well as I mentioned in my last post, we went to the farm on Wednesday for Ambers kindy and had a wonderful day. There were alot of mummy animals and because its nearly spring there were also alot of baby animals also. This meant I felt a strong urge to cross my legs and not have any offspring arrive early with all these babies surrounding me it could have been very dangerous lol!!!
Amber had a wonderful day and especially loved the bus trip with the rest of her class out to the farm and there were a few tears when she thought she had to come home with mummy instead of going on the bus. Thankfully another mummy that was on the bus gave up her seat which meant her dreams could be fullfilled and she could ride on the bus all the way home!!!

So much was squeezed into one day at the farm, Amber managed to ride a pony, sit on a bull, hold a baby chick and have a chicken sit on her head(see below photo lol), take a hay ride on a tractor, milk a cow and feed a baby kid, lamb and a baby calf. We also squeezed in morning tea and lunch which this mummy really needed, I can tell you. It was a fabulous day for all and the Samford Valley were the farm is situated is always a gorgeous place to come and visit. I think I am still trying to recover from such a busy day and I am thankful that my little one decided not to arrive just yet!!!
P.S. I now understand why pigs are called pigs, as I have never heard an animal squeal and get so excited about getting feed. It totally cracked me up watching them wait in antisipation for a feed with there curly tails and there drooling tounges hanging out, I don't think I would ever want to get between a pig and its dinner I can tell you that much lol!!!

Until next time yeeeh haaaaah and farewell to all you little cowboys and cowgirls!!!

Its been a crazy few months!

Well I only have around three weeks to go until our new little baby boy will hopefully arrive. I am getting really tired now and it is a struggle to walk and stand on my feet for too long, it might have something to do with a four year old keeping me busy lol.

We finally moved into our newly renovated house and I have been unpacking for the last three weeks at a very slow pace. I am not sure that the house looks any bigger with all the stuff we own lol, but it is wonderful to have space again. As you can see we still have a lot to do and we had to sacrifice any built in cupboards for a little while but Amber's bookshelf is doing a great job in her room for the time being.

I will take some external photos tomorrow so everyone can finally see why this project has taken a long 8 months lol. Sorry some of the photos are a little fuzzy, I am a little lazy being 37 weeks pregnant.

We have had a crazy week this past week with primary school parent info night, thank you soo much Jim and Lynda for looking after Amber on such short notice and with a full day on Wednesday at the farm with the pre-prep kiddies. I will post some fab photos of that crazy day tomorrow and I had a fun but exhausting day with Amber on Friday at pre-prep, this might explain why I am totally exhausted this week.

Talking about pre-prep, Amber had her time in the spotlight last Friday which means that she had a lovely poster on display with questions describing herself and all her favorite things and things she disliked and I had to laugh as her favorite thing is when mummy lets her sleep in her bed and the thing she dislikes the most is when mummy wont let her sleep in our bed. This is the first time that I have ever heard about this and thought it was so cute that this is her biggest worry lol, especially when she is welcome in our bed whenever she likes lol. I do love this age and the things that occupy there little minds.

On that Friday she got to bring up a box of her favorite things and that was just as entertaining, what she filled her box up with, some really unexpected things like a topiary rose arrangement that I gave her that was ours that I was going to get rid of when unpacking(apparently, it is now a favorite thing), a tiara, two books, lots of photos, dora doll, her stuffed bed bunny jojo and Thomas the tank(which the boys loved). Unfortunately no photos were taken as we had misplaced our camera charger and battery and our poor camera was dead as a door nail(maybe this was a good thing lol).

Even though the below photos are not from this Fridays visit to Amber's kindy, I thought I would share some photos from last term which was not that long ago, I have been very slack with my blogging(so much for being an up to date diary lol).

Amber just adores animals and was soo excited when they had baby chicks and watching the eggs hatching at kindy last term, it was a real highlight for her!!! The first photo is of Amber with fifi the special doll you get to hold when your mummy or daddy is up for the day.......very special!!!!

I can't believe how much has happened in the last couple of months, we have had my father and his wife Ying arrive home for a holiday from China for 6 weeks and hopefully even though it flew by and they had alot of things to sort out. I think they had an ok time. They just missed out on seeing us move into our house, but we had a lovely day at the end of the trip down near the river with Amber and her cousin Emma. Kids and water always means stripping down to your undies lol, well with my child anyway. It was lovely to see you both again Dad and Ying and I can't believe that it will be another 2 years before we see you again!!!

I just thought I would through another couple of photos into the mix as it has been a little while since moving back to our house and Amber has missed her little cousin Emma sooo much, so I thought she would get a kick out of these two photos taken at the art gallery a couple of weeks ago. Amber sends you a big kiss and a cuddles to Emma and looks forward to catching up with her again soon for a play date xx.

Speaking of cute, Amber's class put on a circus a couple of weeks ago and even though I only have video footage and haven't quite worked out how to download videos yet, it was the cutest thing all these little four year olds doing circus tricks, there were clowns, tiger tamers, acrobats, hoola hoopers and tightrope walkers. Amber was a tight rope walker and did a fabulous job entertaining me and her Oma, who replaced her father at the last minute because the circus fell on the same day as we were moving into the house.
I also would like to announce a big thank you to everyone that has helped us move and unpack over the last couple of weeks, we could not have done it without you and we really appreciate all your help, this includes, my sister and family for putting up with us for 8 months, we love you all so much for all that you have done for us. I would also like to include my mum and Barry and Davids parents plus our good friends Kathy and Darcy, thank you so much for helping this poor pregnant lady and her family out, it has been such a stressful time but we feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends who truly mean the world to us.
On a final note we had a baby shower a month or so ago it was a joint one with me and my sister, we had a wonderful time and got some lovely gifts, thank you everyone that came to share this special time with us, unfortunately I was way too busy making mocktails lol, to take any photos, but we did manage to slip in one photo of the three pregnant girls in the family......sorry for sharing this photo Jen and Belle, but it will be lovely to look back on. So here is the three very pregnant good looking ladies and I hope this will make you giggle in a couple of months time!!!
Thank you also mum for being such a great host.......as always and for once again putting on an amazing day.
I also have to say a big congratulations to Belle and Alex on the arrival of little William, I know you will both be amazing parents and thank you for letting us share this exciting time with you both. He is truly the most scrumptious baby and I know he will bring you both years of joy and happiness. Big congratulations also to Poppy Barry on your first grandson, I am sure your as proud as punch of your son and daughter in law.

And to end things on a sweet note I thought I would post a couple of photos of my little angel in some of her favorite out fits. Need to work on my photography mind you, but I do have an excuse at the moment lol.

Thanks for baring with me everyone and sorry for such a long post, my laptop died just before we moved so it has been hard finding a computer to catch up with everything that has been going on in cyberland lately......but hubby has been very kind lending his whenever possible. I promise to update more frequently from now on!!!!

Finally up and about!

The birthday girl and mum!

My sister Jen, her hubby Adam and little Emma!

Jen and our neice Shannon!
Not the clearest photo but here are myself and my two sisters Jen and Julie and our lovely mum!

Well this is just an update of what has been going on over the last couple of months and when I was finally starting to feel a little healthier at this point and able to go out and join civilization for the first time in months. I don't know what I would do without zofran zydis(the drug I am on for this pregnancy), I guess I would still be in bed........green and feeling sorry for myself.

We had a lovely time at my baby cousins 21st, I can't believe our youngest cousin in the family is 21, I think she had an amazing night, congratulations Courtney your a gorgeous person and deserves all the best in life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COURT!

Well below is the first outing that I was busting to get out of my bed for and go and see and thankfully thanks to its popularity the Andy Warhol exhibition at GOMA was extended or I would have missed out. I think Amber was a little over the whole thing by the end of the day but she did have a great time with the interactive childrens section and mummy and daddy did also!

We are up to April now, so there are not to many more updates before I am current again!

What a wierd day!

I am not sure where to start but it nearly broke my heart today, when I was picking up my little girl. I walk into pre-prep today and she is sitting on her own at a table and chair while all her little friends are outside playing. This is something that doesn't usually worry me, cause she is a very independant little thing and doesn't mind being in her own company. But as soon as I walk over to her, she sees me, gives me a huge hug and starts crying(very unusual for her). Apparantley it was over something as silly as her getting no help with the packing up of her bed which gave her no time to play with her friends and she felt that no one loves her, I just wanted to melt!

The wierdest thing is when we were driving from pre-prep to ballet and she says to me from the back seat, "Mummy I don't like this world and I don't want to be here any more", well what do you say to that. I am having flashes of her being a teenager and not dealing with all the pressures that todays society puts on a young person. Thankfully she finished the sentence by saying she would like to take her little friend Greta to this other world with her!!!!

I understand that kids and especially 4 year olds have lots of questions and that usually they don't really want an answer but what do you say to questions like this anyway and when did kids get so deep and so sad that they don't want to be here any more. It just makes you want to put your motherly wings out and protect them from all these horrible feelings, but its nice to know that she feels she can express herself and talk about how she is feeling........its just so hard being a mummy sometimes and feeling you can't protect them from some of the harsh realities of life, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to wrap her in cotton wool and protect her from everything, its important to have these feelings and to learn that life is not all parties and fun, its just hard seeing your child looking so sad.........

Now on a lighter note and to cheer myself up....we were shopping at ikea a couple of weeks ago and Amber was going on and on about wanting this stuffed rabbit.......well we gave in and bought it for her as she had been a good girl all weekend and we had dragged her all around the world with house renovating things that we had to get done. Now I thought this would be just another stuffed toy that would be loved for a day or two and then relagated to the toy box and never seen again.......well boy did I get things wrong.........this little rabbit is her baby Jo Jo now and she treats it like her little baby taking it with her everywhere she goes, feeding it(breastfeeding lmao), and sleeping with it every night without fail and this is the priceless photo I took of her on the very first night that he came home with us. So welcome to the family Jo Jo and maybe next time I won't be so quick to judge!!!!

Sorry the photos are not the best quality but as you can see Jo Jo spent the whole night in her pouch(pants), and it was just so adorable! Our little girl is such a little mother and I just love her to pieces......goodnight my little angel you are just devine!!!
